| Type of construction | extruded hose without metal spiral |
| Material of the wall | fully fluorinated plastic FEP (fluorinated ethylene propylene) |
| Material properties | heat- and steam-resistant material, non-toxic material‚ physiologically harmless, material with excellent non-stick properties, NSF Compliance depending on grade, FDA and USP Class VI compliant types available, Food compliant (FDA/EU...) depending on type |
| Specifications of the wall | non-flammable (UL 94: V0) |
| Product Advantages | Highest transparency of fully fluorinated plastics, good weldability, optimal residue emptying (no residue left behind), tubes are autoclavable or steam sterilisable, co-extrusion with coloured or functional stripes possible |
| Chemical Properties | good resistance to corrosive chemicals, very good resistance to chemicals, good resistance to solvents, good UV resistance, weather-resistant, free from paint wetting impairment substances (LABS), non wetting, chemical inertness |
| Mechanical Properties | high Hardness and wear resistance, friction-reducing‚ self-lubricating material, very low sliding and static friction expressed by a low coefficient of friction |
| Physical Properties | iow permeation, low surface energy, good dielectric properties |
| Colour | other colours available according to the RAL colour chart |
| Other | resistance to harsh environment |
| Temperature Range | -200 to 205 °C |
| short-term maximum temperature | permanently temperature-resistant up to 205 °C |
| Delivery, type of production | wide range of standard dimensions available from stock, available in customised ring lengths‚ wound on spools or in sections, apecial dimensions available on request, tubes with an outer diameter of less than 2 mm‚ supplied on plastic spools, larger diameters are supplied in rolls of 50 or 100 m as standard, we generally supply hoses with an external diameter of less than 2‚00 mm on plastic reels |
Data sheet FEP tubings, metric
The minimum bending radius specifications for our tubings are partly theoretical and represent typical values at 23 °C. The specifications are provided for comparison purposes only and do not represent guaranteed properties. They must be verified by the user. | The burst pressure specifications for our tubings are partly theoretical and are based on the unit bar at a room temperature of 23 °C. The values are used for product comparison purposes, but do not represent guaranteed properties of our products. Pressure resistance decreases as temperatures rise. For safe operation, we recommend maintaining at least three times the safety margin (max. operating pressure = space pressure at the corresponding operating temperature /3).
