We develop your individual fluoropolymer tubings solution together
APT sees itself as a development partner for customer-specific fluoropolymer tubings- from the initial idea to series production. Together with our customers, we develop solutions that are precisely tailored to the respective functional, geometric and process requirements.
Thanks to comprehensive material expertise in FEP, PFA and PTFE, state-of-the-art extrusion technologies and precise testing technology, APT creates high-quality products that meet the highest standards of quality, precision and durability.
Whether classic and co-extruded tubings, paste-extruded PTFE products, complex multi-layer systems with functional strips or special designs such as PFA welding rods, shaped tubings, spiral tubings and spiralized tubings - APT develops and manufactures each solution individually and reliably.
In this way, we work closely together to create innovative tubings systems that provide targeted solutions to technical challenges and create sustainable added value for our customers.
APT manufactures most fluoropolymer tubings from FDA-compliant raw materials as standard. If required, we support our customers in the creation of corresponding product data sheets and guarantee the exclusive use of such materials on request. In addition, our PFA tubing is available as "apt-high performance food tubing" and in FEP with "apt-food appliance tubing" also with NSF approval - for applications with the highest hygienic requirements.
APT uses special compounds specifically when standard materials do not fully meet the requirements of an application. With modified raw materials, e.g. for abrasion resistance or special fillers for radiopacity and reduced permeation, the material properties can be optimally adapted. APT selects the right compound in close consultation with our customers and thus supports the realization of precise, application-specific hose solutions.
The continuous marking of products and components has become increasingly important in recent years. While hoses made of engineering plastics such as PE or PA are usually labeled, this is often not done when fluoropolymers are used, as the usual printing processes simply do not hold on fluoropolymers. A new inline laser marking technology now enables marking in impressively high quality. In addition to text, logos and safety markings can also be printed in razor-sharp detail.
If standard seals do not meet the requirements, we develop customized special solutions in close cooperation with our customers. For example, we have succeeded in significantly improving the number of cycles in presses for carbon parts by developing and manufacturing special seals based on FKM and a special fluoropolymer coating. In addition to FKM, we also coat sealing profiles made of silicone and other elastomers.
If components need to be protected from temperature or aggressive media, we are the right partner for you. We support you in the selection of materials and either supply the components required for coating or coat your objects ready-made at our premises. Depending on the object and requirements, the coating can be applied directly in our extrusion line or using shrink tubing. We can process the ends mechanically or weld them tightly on request. There are virtually no limits to your individual requirements and wishes.
